This November, the MHS Footlighters will be putting on a production of Our Town. They will be performing November 16th and 17th at 7:00 pm, as well as November 18th at 2:00 pm. The show will cost $15.00 for tickets at the door and will be performed in the Metuchen High School Auditorium.

Our Town is a three-act show that was originally written in 1938 by Thornton Wilder. The story is about an impoverished town in which two childhood friends get married. The play will take you through the couple’s childhoods and the events that lead them to get married. The audience will be able to experience the growing friendship and eventually, feelings that the main characters experience. It also focuses on the relationship of the two families as they become one.

As for the actors, just a few include Aidan Goodman, a senior who has been in multiple Footlighters shows prior. Aidan will be playing Mr. Webb. Mr. Webb is the father of the bride, Emily Webb. Emily Webb will be played by Katherine Meyer, another senior who has experience with the fall plays. Mrs. Webb, Emily’s mother and wife to Mr. Webb, will be played by junior Meredith Inverso. George Gibbs, the groom of the wedding, will be played by Luke Krombholz, who is also a junior. Dr. Gibbs, George’s dad will be played by sophomore Ryan Stein and his wife, Mrs. Gibbs will be played by sophomore Manali Weller. The entire play will be narrated by senior Jacob Krombholz.

This great cast of students have been working for months to put this play together, which will surely be wonderful. Good luck to the whole cast and crew!
