Sing into Spring with Shrek the Musical!

    Shrek the Musical, based on the beloved movie, follows the story of a grumpy ogre who wants to be left alone in his swamp when it is overrun by cast-out fairytale creatures. Striking a deal with the small but mighty Lord Farquaad, he is led to embark on an adventure with a talking donkey to rescue Princess Fiona from a fearsome dragon, discovering his true values along the way. 

       The cast features a wide array of talented performers and familiar faces among the Footlighters. Come see Ryan Stein as Shrek, Manali Weller as Fiona, Miles Gordon as Donkey, and Daniel Stone as Lord Farquaad. These are just a few among the colorful and skilled cast of this musical. The soundtrack has a catchy, pop sound with a great variety of songs. Fiona's hopeful ballad of “I Know It's Today”, the two big and bright ensemble numbers “Story of My Life” and “Freak Flag”, and the recognizable classic finale “I'm A Believer” are some of the highlight songs. The show runs from March 13th to March 15th, giving everyone a full weekend to come see this wonderful production. Without further ado, the Footlighters present: Shrek the Musical!

"Before every show, I hold hands with whoever is closest to me, and I speak into the universe. 'I will do good in this show, I will do good in this show.' It never fails." - Nell

"I make a transition, and I make a reel with my friends, and we practice singing a song with the whole group." - Anika

What show do you want to do next? 

"I really want them to do Mean Girls, like at any point. I feel like the cast is really perfect. I see a lot of the cast in my friends. And I really love the songs as well; it's a really modern musical." - Nell

"I definitely think another Disney show would be really cool, like Beauty and the Beast or Little Mermaid, even though we’ve already done those, something similar, maybe." - Anika
