To fly is to be free

And the sun will shine upon my face

As the wind carries me away from my cage

I don’t care about my limits

For I am free

And to be free

Is to discover

When you have gone

Too far

Have I gone too far?

I am an angel

With wings of light

To raise me up to heaven

As the warmth of eternal fire

Sets ablaze my soul

I reach for the stars

And hold them in my hand

Just for a moment

Amongst them

As a shining beacon

Brighter than the North Star

For freedom is to shine as you wish

And dim when you choose

To fall is to be free

And the breeze pushes me down

As feathers fly and fathers cry

I don’t care about the end

For I am free

And to be free

Is to know

When you have made

Your last mistake

But at least it was mine to make

To fall is to fly

Until

You

Meet

The Ground.
