Obsession

You have no idea

The things I’d do to leave your shadow

I am a moth drawn to your flame

The Tristan to my Isolde, we

Complete each other

I am no lover girl, naive and bound with hope

For certain fate cannot deny us any longer

Watching you is ecstasy, and leaving is withdrawal

I know your parents, friends, brothers, and cousins

As well as family

Everything you like I adore

I can finish all your jokes before the punchline

For now I am unnoticed,

An extra in the big budget set of your life

In need of a chance for stardom

Why can’t you take pity?

It’s clear as day you need me
