A tender touch tethers my heart to yours

A love confined to burn like secret fire

A gentle kiss that’s kept behind closed doors

The flame within now burns with hot desire


Your face, so smooth, awash in candlelight

Forbidden dance cursed to waltz alone

Every new day apart, as dark as night

Only in my whispers are you my own


In my wild dreams we run right through the rain

Past the storm that keeps us chained to this town

In my wild dreams we're running to the train

We toss the match and watch it all burn down


But here we linger with lies and shadows

Below the waves, sunk among the shallows
