In soaring dreams, I dared to rise,

With waxen wings, through azure skies.

Oh, how the sun's embrace did call,

A siren's song, my sure downfall.

As I ascended, bold and free,

Hubris whispered, enticing me.

Closer, closer to heaven's domain,

I danced with fate, courting disdain.

Yet as I soared, I reached too high,

The searing sun, it mocked my cry.

My wings of wax, they could not bear,

The fiery touch, the fervent glare.

Plummeting down, towards the sea,

I felt the weight of destiny.

In those fleeting moments, I knew,

My pride had sealed my final view.
